911 996 flappy paddle shift mod

If you get frustrated with the thumb switches on the Tiptronic steering wheel like I did why on try this Mod, AMG paddles from eBay direct from Germany for arrond 50 quid and a couple of hours in the garrage with a dremel, some crimps, solderring iron and heat srink and this is the result and works perfectly. Taken for a test drive and gear change is perfect might even be slightly quicker then the originals, but could just be because so much nicer to use. I love it.

Nice mod, it's definitely on my to do list although I am getting more used to the Tip switches...

Sorry but I don't like the Porsche logos on the paddles, or that two tone wheel

each to their own I love the black and grey leather with the red stiching actually had it done for me, as for the logos well to be honest not my favorite either however I wanted something to cover up the + and - symbols as I have set up the paddles with the down shift on the right and the up shift on the left so I could get the quickest possible down shift after switching to manual on the gear leaver.

Good work. Nice job. I was intending this conversion however I've got used to the buttons now and love using the manual function. Roll on dry roads!
