964 suspension options
Discussion
I've sent the dampers from my 964 race car off to JRZ for a refresh, and it turns out they are fooked. they need nearly everything replacing, with a quote of €5200+VAT I'm thinking would it be better to just go for something new.
I can't seem to find many prices online for anything other than KW. Can anybody recommend some? its for a race car so need to be pretty good, at least one way adjustable and good after care, as they will probably need a rebuild every year or 2.
the knackered ones are JRZ 2 way pro race dampers.
any input is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Not able to offer advice on anything apart from KW (which was on a 964 Targa) but I would give Design 911 a quick call to give you some options:

However I would be inclined to stick to the known names; KW, Bilstein, Ohlins etc.
As an alternative I did hear that Penske were doing suspension states side (http://shop.penskeshocks.com/PENSKE-RACING-SHOCKS-PORSCHE-PRO-PACKAGE/) Maybe the Rennlist guys will be able to give you an idea of whether they are worth it.

A recommendation for 9E right here........|Worth a call IMO
not heard of 9E, any more info on their dampers?Tempted by ohlins and penske as they can be rebuilt in the UK. Can anyone with experience of KW tell me more. How easy are they to adjust damping, with the JRZ I could do it on my own in the assembly area, do you need tools or to remove a wheel. who rebuilds KW? UK based?
I've been told it ohlins on Mark Sumpters 964.
Older KWs like mine just need allen keys (supplied) to adjust bump from the bottom of the shock and rebound at the top. One man job + a jack to do. Rear rebound is the worst because of access to the top of the strut owing to blower motor and airbox being in the way. The later shocks I believe have thumbwheel adjusters so should be even easier.
