I think Slippy's purchase was last Autumn, so not that recent. There was speculation that a different GR 996.1 GT3 may be coming up for sale but I don't recall seeing it advertised. I imagine it either sold off the radar or the owner has had an decided to keep it.

There was also talk that fat trader 's Zanzibar 996.1 GT3 had been passed to 911v for resale prior to Christmas. I don't remember seeing this car advertised either so it was possibly sold by word of mouth. The likes of 911v and JZM have probably got a list of eager buyers ready to purchase as and when these special cars come to market.

A tad harsh biggrin Mark got to complete his new abode. Slippy got to drive his favorite car around some of the best roads in western Scotland for four days. Seemed a fair trade at the time, (and still does) smile

Caught the weather right too ....

The strange thing was, not once did I think "whoever specced this car should've ticked the contrast stitching box", or "I wish this car had PDK mirrors with Porsche crested LED repeater lenses built into them", neither did I think "blimey, this diff feels a bit shonky", nor did I find myself troubled by such thoughts as "I wonder how much this old shi**er will be worth in 5 years time ?", and confusingly I was never left thinking "phew, lucky my ABS unit was sprinkled with diamond encrusted angel dust ground from the wing tips of butterflies native to the Eifel region of the Fatherland ". Surprisingly, neither was I left with the impression "that road would've been so much better in a GT4 with PASM sunvisors, PCCB cigarette lighter and passive bonnet release", or indeed "which peasant shall I get to clean my car when I get home, now it's got a microscopic spec of dust on it ......

Nope, I just drove the f*****g wheels off it and enjoyed every godamn second of it in the process smile

And when I'd OD'd on the superb roads, I sat and enjoyed the view :

smile

And to answer the OP's question, an owner did indeed start a thread a few weeks before Christamas, he stated he may have to sell his Guards Mk1 GT3 Clubbie. The mods in their infinite wisdom saw his post as an advert and deleted the whole thread. Prior to that, most told the gentleman concerned that he should hold onto the car at all costs. I for one hope he's managed to do just that.

Thanks very much. Looks like you had a good trip and bought a good car !

Being the owner of a GR mk1 clubbie myself, with such a rare car it's interesting to know when they are changing hands.

Yep it was me that posted just before Xmas, due to personal circumstances I might have to sell my beautiful GR Mk1 GT3 CS. Though as it stands I'm able to keep hold of it but I'm close to the line frown

Did get a lot of interest from my brief post and the one question that everyone asked was 'how much', this I couldn't answer as I've got no idea tbh!

Don't want to get this thread deleted so here's a couple of pictures -

Its an interesting question. MK2 clubsports selling for high £50's now. So that must make the MK1s worth at least 75K hehe
