Morning all, picked up my 997 Turbo yesterday after a couple of years of pondering and defecting to the Audi forum. omg what a great car this is, firstly thanks AndyBrew for taking me to Wales to collect the car. So I am looking at upgrading the front side lights to LED and installing DRL, where and who's should I use? I also need a manual for the car as it's been lost where is the best place to purchase a duplicate. Car has pcm3 for info but not a full gen 2. I also need new tyre pressure monitors for the non standard wheels fitted, any thoughts? Thanks in advance Luke

Manual...OPC, less than £10 wink

TMPS....OPC are circa £100 each plus £20 per valve. You can get oem Huf Beru from the USA for approx £250. Alternatively non-oem via Ebay for around £230.

The model you need is the Huf Beru RDE001. I didn't get them fitted simply because I didn't want to risk damaging the new Sport Classic wheels.

Hi Luke,

Congrats on the new motor.

I just picked up a 2009 Turbo Manual with Mezger and PCM3 too last week!

Great cars.

+1. It's about time Porsche let the rest of us replace PCM2.1 with PCM3 at a "reasonable" price and without affecting our warranty.........

Had the same but with Tip (which spoiled it) but handy to have PCM3. Can get full postcode on it too now. Sorry to burst people's bubbles, but the Gen 2 is a better car though, despite the change of engine wink

You know you can turn the foglights to permanently on in the config which effectively makes them DRLs?

I had DRL option selected but set it back to standard just before you collected the car.

The function is accessed via the lower left hand stalk. Select SET and LIGHTS by pushing the stalk forward / up / down etc.

Glad you're enjoying.

edit...should be detailed in the copy of the manual I gave you?

Congrats, how come you didn't go for the gen 2? As most of the things you want were standard.

That's looking nice Mr Tickle. Thanks Mark
For the DRL info, learn something new about the car each day. Next question on the memory seat how do I stop the lower back lumber support from moving out into my lower back after I set it to flat and program the memory seat no 1 function while its in the flat position.

Nice pic Luke.

Sorry, can't help with your lumbar support query. Might be worth posting the question?

So the lumbar is re inflating after being deflated? Not something I noticed.

Might be you haven't set the new position of the lumbar to the 'key' you are using?

Think I have set it correct as when I move the seat to a random location and then press position 1 seat moves to my seat position. Same happens when I unlock the car with my key. Lumber is deflated when programmed up however when I lock the car and re-enter the car its part inflated (seat is in correct location). Any thoughts.

Nope, but if its any consolation the door mirror settings and the reversing setting coded to keys seem to have a mind of its own and it's a lottery whether I get my setting or the wife's. No issues with lumber or bolsters though.
