They are also rising very quickly on this side of the pond. Just about to sell mine and am surprised at the pricing. ...inexplicable.

Smacks of a lack of confidence in the 991 imo.

This is getting silly. Dick Lovett sold an identical spec car for 94k about 3 months ago. Will someone pay that? Maybe, but will they regret it. Almost definitely.

Absolutely classic short termism from car salesman. Sell a car and ask 10k more for the next one, this is how bubbles form. I bet its SOR too.

I didn't but even allowing for that it doesn't warrant a 30k (30%) difference, maybe 3k tops.

This is making hay while the sun is supposedly out. More likely is its a small number of speculators trying to make a buck. IT WONT LAST.

I'm selling because I won't have any time for rest of this year to enjoy anything other than a quick run out in the countryside on a nice sunny day and I have my 930 turbo for that. I have never been a believer in keeping toys locked away, if you don't use them pass them to the next kid on the block to use and enjoy. Next year I expect I will pick up a 991 GT3 for few months, try the experience and move it on to the next person...

Mine sold a month ago, after being advertised on here for three hours!!! II got back virtually what I paid for it 21/2 years ago, put 8k miles on it, drove most of the UK circuits, Spa, 'ring, had a ball, never missed a beat.

The car is on the crest of a wave at the moment and my decision to sell was based on that, and the lack of use, for a variety of reasons, it would now be getting for the foreseeable future. They are an amazing car, but I also believe the the wave will fall as the seasons progresses and new sorted GT3 hits the tracks...

I hope you're right - although I would have used the word tsunami having seen silverstone's recent ad!

If I have the right car (which I'm 99% sure I do because of the yellow seat belts and non red pull door handles) then the owner offered this car to my dad for a lot less than that in August last year but then decided not to sell.

I guess he made the right decision to hold onto it a little longer.

I know of two other Aqua Blue cars that were sold very recently for less than £100k. One was OPC Hatfield car and another private sale on here.

Interesting JZM car was sold in December with 9500 miles at £101,900 (still on their website). Now re-advertised with 12,000 miles (and additional trailer) for £116,900 !!! banghead

I find it hard to justify these rapid price increases in such short space of time, despite so called supply and demand economics. Dealers are having you on ! punch

I bet any money as well that these cars are on SOR ... there is no way dealers would be be buying them anywhere near these levels. You are starting to see increasing buyer resistance, just the fact that these cars haven't sold overnight I think proves that ..... its all madness, people need to wake up and smell the coffee coffee

Something is worth what someone is willing to pay. The demand for these is high, and I know people are willing to pay very good money for them.

May I add the trailer is in almost new condition (cost £6500.00 last year) with £2.5k of spare parts and tools that were not with it originally and 2 brand new sets of tyres plus some very lighly worn ones. So the increase is not as large as it looks on the face of it. Maybe 5% uplift in actual car price between when I bought it (in November - dead GT3 time to April - prime GT3 time)..... not greedy just realistically priced given the time of year and extras

Anyone followed 360 CS prices? I was offered one for just over 100k less than a year ago. I unfortunately turned it down, and within 6 months, they were selling for north of 150k and I can't see that changing anytime soon. So I don't really see the issue with the market waking up to any of the RS'. Especially when you consider that a 4RS has never (and I doubt will ever) be below list price.

The doom mongers have been knocking prices for some time now and all the while they've kept rising. It's hard to call the top of any market but it's also hard to say that a desirable asset, in short finite supply, is going to be worth a lot less at some point in the future. History doesn't support that with rare desirable cars.

Correction at some point? Maybe. Permanent diminution? Doubt it.

Buy (if you can get one) and enjoy (which you certainly will),

Very much this!

I think the 3.8 RS prices have been dragged up by 4.0 prices.

In turn they're pulling up 997.1RS to the level of the 997.2RS, seen the prices of 996GT3's...

How rare are the 3.8RS's ?
