Hi,
I am looking to buy a 997 C2S and some of the cars i am looking at don't have the switchable sports exhaust. This feature is something that sounds like a good option to have.

Can someone tell me if this can be retro fitted? Aprrox cost and do you get the button like if factory fitted? and any recommend fitters near to Cambridge.

I have seen a item on here about this but can't locate it again.

Would also appreciate some advise on if its worth fitting/buying with it fitted and any other options i should really be looking for?

New to here and to forums

Thanks in advance!

Yes it can be retrofitted... but at a cost. Porsche will do it for ~£2.5k.

Of course there might be cheaper alternatives if you go aftermarket.

Best option is to buy a car with it. However, although they sound great, so does the standard exhaust at full chat. My old C2S had a standard exhaust and I'm not sure I would have spent £2.5k to upgrade it.

Yes you can retrofit one. I had one fitted to a 2007 C2S which I had. It was an OEM exhaust fitted by an independent - cost about £1,200 about 3 years ago - Chris Denning Sportscars in Cardiff - great bloke

You can get a used one on ebay for about £600 isn and it should cost about £300 to fit without the button or a little more with.
