Snooze you loose GT3
Discussion
As someone who checks out the classifieds every 2/3 times a day waiting for the right car I am still surprised on yesterday's events.
At 11pm last night Glasgow Porsche there was a new add for a GT3 club sport 36,000 in white 58k, it was also on PHs.
By this morning it had gone from both sites?
Why is it when ever an interesting car pops up it's always at the other end of the country arrh.

looks like a hooer of a car. More like 128,000 miles rather than 28,000 miles. New paint all over it, wrong wheels, terribly worn interior, gt3 badge missing, rusty wheel bolts, jeez. run forest run

You can tell from the pics it's had paint? I'm just browsing on my phone mind. Bolster is badly scuffed on drivers side and I'd question why it's got turbo wheels. It is a 2 owner car and well priced compared to others. Could be a deal for someone if obligatory checks work out.
Yes its far too shiny compared to some of the rest of the trim around the car and you can see the thick laquer all over it. There would also be road rash on the paint in certain tell tale areas and theres none. IRear badge missing suggest its been painted at the rear. Wrong wheels suggests the originals have perhaps been damaged so the vendors stuck a cheaper set on. Doesn't mean its abad buy at the right price. You expect Gt3s to have had a few knocks here and there - goes with the territoryIMI A said:

Interesting you guys can see all this from the pics - I too thought something looked odd but couldn't put my finger on it other that the wheels. Agree at the right price it would be a good buy!!!Budda77

Hi Luke's was it a gen2 gt3 I'm looking for 1 too but can't get what I want
I guess it was a gen1 but was getting excited I forgot to look, was checking flights to go and have a look and speak to Glasgow Porsche on Monday morning. I'm on a tight budget so looking at lower end of market.
Was thinking with Porsche warranty would cover me for any nasty surprises but would still need to check it out as best I can.

Not really keen on silver would rather white, the near side wing did look a little proud of the door but that may just be how the light hits it.
As always amazed on the knowledge and feedback on this forum never get tired of reading posts.
I have posted before that I am waiting for a friend to sell me his 2 owner 993 4S (40k) but he is in no hurry to sell having owned for 14 years. In the mean time if the right car came along I would buy now it has to be something special though.

When I checked it was being sold by Porsche Edinburgh a few days ago. Must have moved it to the Glasgow branch and only been there for about 24 hours! At 11pm last night Glasgow Porsche there was a new add for a GT3 club sport 36,000 in white 58k, it was also on PHs.

It was a gen 1 CS with about 25k on it iirc. Nice looking car.
I wonder if all the press of the new GT3 coming on the market has increased public awareness of these great cars. Therefore all the nice cars are being snapped up quickly. There are also much fewer Gen 1s for sale than Gen 2s, the Gen 1 imo is a lot of car for the money so maybe the Gen 2 isn't worth the 20k premium?
I still want a gen 2 though....

As I mentioned in another thread recently; prevaricate at your own risk!
Whilst looking for a 997.2 GT3 RS I spent too much time wondering if this car or that was right for me and in the process missed out on several good cars and probably cost myself several thousand pounds (in price rises whilst I took my time looking).
In the end you have to just jump in when a car comes up that is even close to what you want – they’re not hanging around long at the moment and I can only see the on-set of Spring making it worse…

If you don't mind on which side the steering wheel is you could look in the German network...

I was starting to think I was going mad and imaged I had seen it.
Phoned Glasgow this morning in case the buyer dropped out and they didn't know any thing about it.
I said maybe I had got it wrong and it was Edinburgh they said they would check it out and call me back.
17:00 and still no call back, Porsche sales!!!!
