Been phoning around for insurance and seems lots of pitfuls with various policies.

Anyway, best deal I have on the 911 is a company called AIB Insurance, see: www.aib-insurance.co.uk

Has anyone else used them? They seem very good and know there stuff but who else is good to try?

I used REIS Insurance for many years and dealt with a nice guy there called Steve Hallam who was always helpful. Sadly though I stopped insuring with them after a women there called Mary was rude to me on a number of occasions. shame as the quotes were good but her attitude and bad manners were to much to bear

You only find out how good your insurance policy and company are when you come to claim.

I've used REISS for quite a few years, rate them highly and deal with Steve now...let's just say some of the others are an acquired taste.

Mannings have been consistently more expensive than I expected, after all the positive comments on here about them. But it's not all about lowest premiums and I wouldn't insure my RS with Admiral, Elephant or equivalent and one would also have to buy separate cover for track days on top going down this route.

I'm with Aviva. They provided an excellent quote and you can change things on line without a heavy admin fee.

Another one for Manning here. Unlimited trackday cover without having to notify them sold it for me.

OK, another question - any ideas on 18 year old son's car? Any thoughts or pitfuls on these tracker options?

Try Porsche Insurance; it's with Aviva brokered through Marsh. It's not the cheapest but the cover is excellent and Marsh is a pleasure to deal with - and no requirement for a tracker.
