996 C4S Wheels

I have looked at loads of these cars now but think this is the first time I have seen these wheels:



Normally they have these:



Anybody know if they were standard?
Not sure I like them..

They are Techno wheels and were a more expensive (I think) option to the original twists on the Turbo.
Prefer the original wheels myself!

I too prefer the standard ones and want to keep the car looking original when I get it

If they were specced when new then they are original.

They are sport techno alloy's and i've heard they are much lighter then the standard wheels. They came on the car i've bought from JZM. I believe they were a £4k option if spec'd when new. Personally i prefer them (and i've had the standard wheel on a previous 4s)

I've heard they were much heavier than the standard wheels. Gotta love the internet.


That said, maybe they are much lighter than the standard C4S wheels, but much heavier than the hollow spoke turbo versions.

Sport Technos have been discussed loads of times and to dispel some internet mythology all wheel weights here...

Also, 2004 price list quotes Sport Technos as a £1320.70 option on the 4S and £841.30 for the turbo coupe/cab.
