tyres for 996

Hi Guys,

I need new front tyres on a 996 and was thinking of upping the front tyre width from 225/40 18 to 235/35 18 hopefully to give me a bit more front end grip. Has anyone else had experience of this and is it a worthwhile upgrade.

The front tyres only seem to be worn on the inside ranging from 2mm on the inside to 5-6mm over the rest of the tyre,would I be right in thinking I need to get my camber checked.

The handbook gives recommended sizes.

It sounds more like you need a decent geo setup doing than new tyres to me. Pointless having wider rubber if no more of it is in contact with the road when it needs to be.
