991 GT3 Steering Wheel on a non-GT3 991
Discussion
I am looking to change the steering wheel in my 991. I currently have the multi-function steering wheel (with pdk buttons), but want to change it to paddles.
I looked at the Techart upgrade, (lets you add paddles to the multi-function wheel), but I have decided I don't want to add non-Porsche parts to my car.
The only current option is the Sports Design wheel offered as an approved upgrade by Porsche. However, when I tried the wheel I noted that the travel of the paddles is quite long. For me this detracted from the experience and left me feeling (slightly), disconnected from the gearbox.
However, I noted a few days ago that the 991 GT3 website highlights the fact that the new wheel in the car has 50% less travel http://www.porsche.com/uk/models/911/911-gt3/drive...
Does anyone know if this will fit a non-GT3 991? My OPC are waiting until a GT3 arrives to test it for me, but I wondered if anyone else had the same idea and had found any answers yet?
