I have a failed and disconnected rear spoiler on my 2002 996 turbo I know I can buy a raising kit from america but can anyone help me with information on how I can just disconnect the pipes if necessary and raise it and lock in position

this must be an easy fix!

Unfortunately it's not that simple because there are powerful springs in the rams that return the spoiler to the down position.

Is it not possible to remove the rams and dismantle, take out the springs and put some packing in to raise the spoiler?

? you want to buy a kit from America to fix the spoiler but then leave it locked in the raised position? It goes up and down for a reason not just looks.
