That’s the colour I fancy, was it up at the Isle of Man?

Beautiful spec, was it carbon roof?

That's the one. I went to town on the options as I bought it before I had notification of securing an allocation for something else - so specified it exactly as I wanted; it splits opinion it seems, but I love it.

Fellow RubyStar Neo T owner here - saw your car and so pleased you've taken it back. I just think these are the best cars for everyday fun driving. I regretted selling my 991.2T and hopefully will hold onto this one as I have no interest in the next 992.2 T (if they do it) as it won't have this base engine.

I have been looking at manual t’s. They are slipping into the early 90’s f or a nice spec. What are trade bids like on these. At 86-90k I think I would be very keen. Or do I wait for the winter?

I hear dealers are not selling cars but I have contacted two dealers about a car in stock, one won’t knock a penny off and the rubystone one in the IOM won’t even answer a call/ e mail.

Interesting sales tactics!
Do you have cash ready to buy privately, or do you need dealer finance?

Not been on this thread for a while. I actually moved my 992T on this week - been for sale quite a while and despite it being a really good car and very sensibly priced, it had very little interest. The market is pretty brutal at the moment and for what it’s worth I’d suggest prospective buyers go in with your eyes wide open depreciation wise!
Mine had been up for sale for a while SOR with my OPC - again little interest (the specification is not to everyone's taste - Rubystar Neo exterior, lots of carbon, manual and Burmiester etc.) - it was being sold as I have something else special coming. But this weekend I took it back from the OPC and I've decided to keep it. It's the perfect specification for me and the more I thought about selling it, the more I realised I'd regret it; just like I did a few weeks after selling a previously owned 991.2 Carrera T.

So yesterday I drove it again for the first time in a few months and I am certain I've made the right decision in keeping it. It makes me happy and the way it drives on my local roads is just about perfect.

Good shout - must say I had toyed with doing the same, but, already have a nice and very practical daily driver and another very nice new Porsche imminent. Against that (and an I suspect likely continued heftyish depreciation) backdrop I was really just kidding myself, so moved it on instead.

Saying all that, at lowish £90s retail for year old 992T, these are great cars/daily drives.

It is a beautiful spec, what have you got coming? I own a business with a Pink theme, hence loving the Rubystar. I had a GT$ PTS ordered but it was in 2023 when they removed the option.

Thank you. I spent quite a bit of time specifying it exactly as I wanted it. I have an S/T arriving shortly.

Yachting Blue Metallic with the Heritage Interior etc. Hoping to have it in a month or so, but there are some delays at present.

I tried to sell my T to various OPCs, none were really interested as they have so much stock. And more 992.1s coming as Porsche offloads them. Eventually had to give it away to get rid of it.

How do you define giving it away?

It's more and more a buyers market .

I sold my boxster spyder 6 weeks ago back to an opc. 1 owner . 8000 miles.
I got what I would say was private money for it so I was happy. No hassle. Wasn't gonna advertise privately with all the aggro.
Some opcs took the p iss with the offers they made.
Opc i sold to who were terrific sold the car on in 3 or 4 days.
More bread and butter porches are struggling I think. Low trade bids.

Im finding its a very odd market, theres high demand and low supply in some areas but the opposite in others.

I've been seeking a 2019 on Macan for a few months but anything with reasonable milage and spec is >£42k and some weren't much more new.

By comparison I brought a current shape 4.5k mile F Type V8 Cab from a main dealer for about 40% of its list price.

Anything SUV / Estate is hugely expensive. Nobody wants to buy any EV's etc etc

I guess 2020 onwards is also COVID years so very restricted supply.

I’ve had my new to me 992 manual T for a couple of weeks now and absolutely love it to bits. I am sure that the depreciation will be vicious but I managed to get one in my almost perfect spec so decided to bite the bullet even though the 992.2 was going to include a T. I roughly calculate that the previous owner took about a £25-30k loss on this car over just 2.5k miles. I see that as an opportunity to get into a great car that’s lightly used (even has the protection plastic on the throttle pedal!) and go out and drive.

In the words of Mr Harris that's what it’s all about isn’t it.

Same here, have a manual T and absolutely love it, reminds me of my 993 back in the 1990’s. I know that conversations often shift to depreciation and understand why, but I don’t give a toss. I think this is one of the best cars I’ve owned for some years, a good package.

Trade bids struggling to get high 80s. Anybody buying a new 911 needs to do it with their eyes open, Porsche seems to have changed their strategy with regards cars, they are flooding the market even though demand is low.
