OPC showrooms full of "special" cars , was offered £125k for my .2RS as been used a bit ( 27 k miles ) , so guess will have to use it a bit more .
At first I thought that was a good offer for a 991 gt3 rs, then a reread it as saw it’s actually a gt3 rs gen two.

Are they having a laugh, that’s got to be worth more than 125k trade.

Did they make that offer with a straight face?

Guess they have a lot of GT cars with low mileage , anyway seems OK after 6 years a big BMW would have lost a lot more . That is the Market now as suspect they operate on a 15-20 k margin which is fine , they are a business and need to make profit

Even with 27k miles that must be a £160k retail car for them in today climate.

Agree there does seem to be more and more GT cars becoming available for sale, market looks to be slow
with the same cars hanging around.

What did you fancy changing it for?

This is the predicament Porsche shall find themselves in moving forward.

The artificial price increases since covid on the 992.1, and the increase for the 992.2 is going to cause them issues; they are struggling to offload 992.1 GT products, so don't want to take them or 991 GT products in unless they get them for and absolute song.

This in turn creates a new found hostility from previous great returning customers who would happily go for the latest GT product as they were getting a great offer for their previous GT model and the delta was acceptable.

The market has dramatically changed, and Porsche dealerships could very easily find themselves back when unregistred 997 GT3s were in the showroom available to buy with incentives.

I personally found the aftermarket experience from my OPC after buying a 992 last June as terrible; as soon as you drove away you were of no interested whatsoever and calls would never be returned....relevance being its the dealer that has the lowest price .2GT3 RS for sale.

If I ever have a brain melt and purchase another Porsche, it sure as hell won't be from there.

Didn't realise 992s had got so cheap, makes many 991.2 GT3s on the market look expensive. This is also despite being a Touring, looks like when the numbers of these aren't limited the actual market doesn't like them as much as the winged variant

There’s certain greater numbers of 991 & 992 GT cars than was the case with earlier variants. Prices of 997 are strong. Going crazy in fact in USA.

Anyway you also have a real GT3 to enjoy.

Weissach ? Mags ?? Steel ??? it all makes a difference ... and yes I guess the OPC would be looking for 20k as a starting point ...

Yes, it's a triple financial whammey for customers, which means you stick with your current car and pay more interest.

I would imagine most of the GT cars on sale are on SOR unless they've been taken in part exchange, so the dealers are probably covered on GT cars.

I guess the games are still being played to get the S/T and whatever they announce next, but you always need someone to buy your 'previous' purchase.

Please let us know when this is happening! Not interested now, but with incentives, might be especially for 992 GT3

Talk of unallocated / cancelled order GT4 rs cars already in the Uk.

Opc will try their best to not spook the market for as long as they can to help sales of other models.

Porsche are trying to have their cake and eat it by a) raising pricing into the bracket above where the 911 previously sat; and b) at the same time building ever more cars (including GT cars).

Great strategy if you can pull it off. Question is when does oversupply undermine the perceived exclusivity required to justify the price point?

Please let me know when you’re done with it. Just wish I still had the FAB plate to put on it….

And at under 5000 miles per annum still low mileage smile

It used to be that Porsche expected an average mileage of 8000 miles per annum ... I believe that GT engines are built to potentially re-fresh at 100,000 miles plus the 991 series could no longer be "ragged" from cold (certainly .2) ...

WP is nice but prefer the earlier cars ....no one mentions good running in , as my car in 27 k miles has never needed an oil top up , more about PCCB which I always prefer not to spec . But yes a lift is needed
