There will be independent solutions to rebuild these engines in due course. The cars are too good to write off. It’ll be relatively expensive, but the low prices for the 991.1 are already allowing plenty of room for manoeuvre.

Warranty is currently a set price for all 911’s which seems mad to me given the variance in potential repair bills. It’s just gone up in price, currently £1120 + £196 for Roadside Assistance. Renewed yesterday on my 991.2 GT3. Roadside is worth having IMHO as you get a loan car if your car is not driveable and you are not reliant on an OPC loan car.
Did you need an inspection, or did they let you renew as the current warranty not expired?
It was a renewal so no inspection although I thought that rule was relaxed in Covid, has it been reinstated ?

Oh and my car has BBS wheels on it and has done for three or four years. Never been an issue.

Many thanks for the reply.

Mine falls due for renewal later this year and just want to renew without the hassle of an inspection.

Reserve will be sky high due to JZM having it on SOR at £140k

Same car, JZM dropped the price after it didn’t sell at auction.

This one’s also had a recent drop, it was this price a few weeks ago but they put it up for 129k, but have now lowered it again 126k. It was also on CC months back and failed to sell.

There now seems to be wider spread in asking prices for these, no idea of what they are really worth in todays market.

992 GT3 a better track car because of the front end suspension ? (You could say it is a better track car than 991.2 RS as well probably)

991.2 GT3 a better road car because of the engine and you have a PDK/Manual option ?

991 RS's, both .1 and .2 seem to be taking a hit currently. I've watched many come on and sit until they have around a 10-15k reduction from initial asking price before disappearing for good. There are 2 main dealer listed lizard green cars that have been come down £10k over a period of a few months and are still sticking around. 991 GT3s seem to be firming up, save for the main dealer cars listed head and shoulders above similar cars. You can mostly work out the price a GT3 should transact at but RS's I'm not sure, which is odd going into summer.

There's a lot of competition for the £ now, from other Porsche's mostly.

GT4RS' hitting £150k or under has thrown a new choice into the mix. Indeed a good friend of mine is about to chop in his 991.2RS for a GT4RS, on the basis that it's more special courtesy of the airbox, almost as good on track and feels narrower for country roads (in body at least even if not with mirrors extended).

Anyone know this car? Seems good value for a .2 rs. I know no weissach pack but does that really make that much difference? I believe with it being an 18 car probably no opf filters?

Agree good value at £160k.

Seem to recollect first run cars to Sept 18 were pre gpf.

Was listed in the high 170s earlier this year so i don't think they will have much more margin to swallow should you wish to beat them down further. Looks nice a spec and pre-gpf as you say

Because of it's association with a dodgy dealership

It must have missed a service somewhere in its history aswell...... For a 2016 car it cannot need a service in 2025 and further reading in the advert reveals it should have been done in 2020 but was missed until 2021. Not sure what knock on effect this will have if a potential buyer wants to get it back under an OPC warranty ?

I noticed they removed it from their website yesterday, after they re advertised it for 126k a few days ago. I assumed it sold, but clearly not.

Shame as it could be a good car.

My question is why hasn’t it sold.

1. Is it a good car?

2. Is it the dealerships past history?

3. Are buyers just not willing to jump in and buy this particular model in due to market uncertainty at this price point?

Surely that’s attributed to COVID, I’m guessing it was tucked away and he was building palette furniture like everyone else at the time. Were OPC’s still open and doing services?
