The irony. A Mezger in prime condition sounds wky as a tumble drier full of spanner’s, and yet, they have proved hugely robust.

First sub £120k 991.1 gt3 rs being sold at a opc with a warranty I’ve seen.

Interior not looking it’s best, but at least they have priced it on a more level playing field.

Intergalactic mileage in GT3RS land, so price no surprise!
Looks like the phone can’t be ringing at this opc, they have dropped the price by a grand already.

Now £118,900
When are you gonna step in and buy it?

Equates to a rather punchy early £90ks with fees for a gen 1 comfort.

Good result indeed for the vendor.

In white, that car does nothing for me.

Ultra Violet for a 991.1 gt3 rs in my opinion.

Just had a look on AT, 991.1 GT3 still about the same price as late 2019/20 when I was buying. Thought they would have dropped more by now, shows there is still a good market for them. Delta between .2 still about the same too.

Is that possible beyond 10 years? I’m guessing it’ll be ruinous given the knowledge they have on the chocolate engines.

Would need to pass inspection with a clean bill of health to be able to do that.

It was also serviced out side of the opc next work.

Theoretically, if a car passes the 111 point check, it can be warrantied up to 15 years IIRC.

Thanks. Wasn’t aware of that. Surely with Porsche knowing about this engine issue, the costs to do so will be prohibitive to some. Or is warranty a set price?

Warranty is currently a set price for all 911’s which seems mad to me given the variance in potential repair bills. It’s just gone up in price, currently £1120 + £196 for Roadside Assistance. Renewed yesterday on my 991.2 GT3. Roadside is worth having IMHO as you get a loan car if your car is not driveable and you are not reliant on an OPC loan car.

Did you need an inspection, or did they let you renew as the current warranty not expired?

I'm currently in discussion with the dealer on this to upgrade from my GT4.

Been told it's getting circa £7k prep done on it, but just worried about the mileage and resale if I potential look to sell in a couple of years. I'll be planning on doing roughly 2k miles a year in it, no tracking, just a weekend toy.

Forgive me, this has been covered on other threads.. The one off specific engine warranty on 991.1 GT3's states that in the event of cam follower wear being diagnosed within 10 years from date of registration this will result in the fitting of a replacement complete new engine.

Unless something has changed the more general Porsche warranty post 10 years does not guarantee a complete engine change, perhaps the dealer will rebuild it, perhaps it will be cheaper to still change the engine, the point is it is not defined post 10 years.

My experience was once Porsche authorised dropping the engine to inspect the cam followers a new crate engine arrived within a week. (It took a few weeks of changing plugs and coil packs and me driving off to put it immediately back into limp mode and returning it for this to happen).

Jmo, I wouldn't, keep the GT4 and enjoy.

Too much stigma attached to the 991.'s engine.

Different engine in the .1 RS very few issues compared to the .1 GT3 (non RS).

On ‘high’ mileage on the RS in question, buy cheap / sell cheap, what’s the issue if everything else is sorted? 4k miles shouldn’t move the needle much. If worried, pony up the difference for a lower mileage RS, you will pay more but get more back come resale vs the higher mileage one. Bear in mind dealer margin will be between £15-30k when moving it on IME.
