Insanely boring I'd wager. An expensive '5 minute wonder'

Honestly, I just configured a GTS 4 and it came out to £169,000. I did include the body kit and bucket seats, but otherwise, it's pretty much an average spec. I understand the performance aspect, but a 992.1 GTS is already incredibly fast, so I don't see the additional value. There are still a few Gen 1 2022 models available for between £107,000 and £110,000, and I wouldn't be surprised if they get snapped up quickly.

If I read correctly the base engine is not the single turbo anymore that spooled up quicker, but the 992.1 GTS engine, which is two turbos and detuned?
The base Carrera did have 2 turbos. Just a slightly smaller impeller and a conservative map.

A new AM Vantage starts from 165K so the new pricing probably isn’t too far off what you’d expect.

One has to get into the £180/90K for a notable specced one. They must have read the market but it seems such an expense.

I think it will make the 718E all the more desirable as that will be all-Electric and seem a great deal by comparison.

I agree ... the economy isn't anything special and the extra power may not mean much in practice, but the technology is clever !
Does this use of a hybrid system help Porsche achieve emissions reduction towards government legislation / failure fines if so I'm impressed.

This is where motor sport comes into play for real world motoring.

Have to say the GTS is expensive but it now sits alongside the Turbo in performance terms for £20k less but with modern technology.

Weird one, you can’t have interior carbon with the GTS interior. Piano black is meh.

The logic on some options baffled me. I am surprised the Heritage interior pack has gone on the base.

I disagree, makes the 992.1 Turbo the one to have, if you take the base price of GTS 135k, sure, but you have to compare it to the Turbo Standard Spec and bring it up to Turbo Standard spec, which also has more hp and 650 Nm.. I did it today and with 18 ways on both the difference was in the low single 000’s. This for example is what I would buy over a new GTS, but I’m not buying. I’m after an F12.

The colour Shade Green looks radically different on the config to this listing of an ST in it. Think I have gone off it now - not that I had any intentions! smile

I am so happy I bought a new 992.1 Carrera S MANUAL last year, as I wanted to buy a 3-pedal petrol non-hybrid 911, with decent compliant road orientated suspension while Porsche still made them .
I wonder if they will offer a manual version of the S or T in the next year or two? (For the other luddites like me)

I'd imagine they will all be PDK from here on in, what with that transmission being part of the hybrid technology.
