It's indeed rare, sad to see the tail pipes corroded though, wonder what it's like underneath?

That’s expensive for the extra over a 997s. And I wouldn’t buy a car from Ashgoods again.

Bit like the argument over a 987S vs an R, I’d imagine the extra for a 997GTS over an S is far greater than what an XL spreadsheet suggests.

Congrats. I actually don’t think there is a povo spec GTS (plastic dash or not). I almost bought a GTS new back in the day (2010) but couldn’t stretch to it. I did realise that the standard spec was a £10k discount on the price of a C2S so eventually bought a 3 year old one (manual,,RWD coupe) 10 years ago this month. Still have it and still love it. CL problem completely solved as per other thread and wouldn’t be without them as it’s part of the unique aspect of the car

Have you submitted your name to the Plastic Dash Register?

New one listed with some nice spec - the painted backs to the seats.

Looks nice and appears to have been well-prepped.

I’m on the register and have received a lot of counselling, support and compensation, but still working through the challenge this condition inflicts on poor unsuspecting plastic dash owners like me.

Not sure I’d agree, PDK box and LHD are not ideal, obviously not as worthless as cars with a plastic dash.

Unless you want a pdk obvs, which lots of people do!

You could say the same about the colour in fairness.

If only manual, but for those after PDK, this is the one - at least it makes a change from Black, Grey or White as options

Looks like my old one, but it’s lower mileage.

I had to scrap mine because of the plastic dash and PDK. My children were being bullied at school because of them and people would talk behind my wife’s back in Waitrose “it’s her, with the PDK and plastic dash”.

TBH I felt that I had failed as a father, husband and as a man.

My advice to anyone here is do not, under any circumstances, buy anything other than a car with a manual box and extended leather. In fact I am surprised that 997 PDK and PLASTIC DASH still slip past the PH swear filter.
