I can see Sidw and GT4p having a full on paddy! How dare they increase the price when they can’t sell the stock they have.

I agree ... the economy isn't anything special and the extra power may not mean much in practice, but the technology is clever !
Based on the performance figures, it will be extraordinary. However, where can you fully utilize it? I switched my order from a new Gen.1 GTS to a manual T because the previous GTS, especially with PDK, was simply too fast.

I think the base model is now the one to have, the gts looks terrible with the active aero and no manual.

One thing I did notice was the rear seats in the GTS are a option (no cost) on the used market two seater cars take a lot longer to sell.

Question is the 992.2 Gts may have more power, faster in a straight line but will it be as boring to drive as the 992.1 version!

I am suspicious that it was to keep the weight below 1,600kg as they are a no-cost option .

I'd definitely spec them. But I'd buy the Carrera, not the GTS

Website all over the place but if you come out and back in you get £109800 starting price for the 911

It was awful wasn't it. The new GTS looks fantastic, but i must be really out of touch if that prat Matt Watson seemed the best candidate for the launch promo?

So what if the new GTS just beats the old one in a drag race, I don't think many people buy a new 911 to drag race it. The Youtube generation has a lot to answer for and it seems the bigwigs at Porsche have drunk the Koolaid.

In summary, nice car, crap presentation unless you're 14!
It didn’t seem like a compelling outcome - faster yep but hardly earth shattering of a difference.

Why do you call him a prat? He doesn't seem likeable to me but I don't know anything about him.

Colour palette info to be:

Black
Black jet metallic

Carrara White
GT Silver
Guards Red
Carmine Red
Gentian Blu
Cartagena Yellow
Vanadio Grey
Laguna Blue
Shade Green
Slate Gray Neo
This turned out to be the case. The Cartagena Yellow and Shade Green are rather nice. The launch grey seems rather uneventful.

If he doesn’t seem likeable to you then hasn’t that answered matters?

I am sure he is a lovely chap but he tends to be like
“This is the best car ever”
(Gets in next car)
“Now this really is the best car ever”
(Gets in next car(
“THIS is the best car in the world”

Repeat to fade.

£99800 now showing for starting price Carrera. I don’t think that too bad for entry model.

The above, add to that he is nearly 51 and smirks and shouts his way through various drag race tests and generally acts like somebody who needs their ADHD meds upping!

However he is extremely successful by doing the above so clearly there is a market for this in a certain demographic, it's a demographic i clearly don't belong to but they love all that st so good luck to him. Maybe i should have said he acts like a pratt?

I've never watched any of his is videos, that was just my first instinct for whatever reason. So I was just asking if there were any specific reasons to dislike him.

for sure somebody at hq has lost the plot. they obviously have no idea whats going on with the economy or the world! they've also decided to put the cayenne up nearly 10%.

having said that after calling a few opc's today and them having limited interest in the .2, i decided to place a deposit on a 4gts for an early car with december delivery. car came out to an eyewatering £167k. i must be mad, but the novelty value of the hybrid system had me sold.

market wasnt too impressed with the new cars either. after a few weeks of drops taking it back to below ipo price, dropped again today. even macan ev launch had it go up a little!

I think Porsche have been really clever. If you look at the base carrera it’s not gone up much at all. So a nicely specced carrera is £110000 / £115000 but it’ looks to me like it’s just a slightly tweaked engine not hybrid.

Are they not making an S version anymore ?

The new Turbo S is going to be insane looking a the GTS performance.

If I read correctly the base engine is not the single turbo anymore that spooled up quicker, but the 992.1 GTS engine, which is two turbos and detuned?
