Ferrari Yellow is a more 70’s “acid” yellow. Looks stunning in the flesh.

However if yiu want full on retina-melting ability, there’s only one colour …

Edit to add, yes, Steve R did have a stunning SY 997.1 GT3

Yes, sorry the one I am looking at is Racing Yellow. I had a Speed Yellow 996 Turbo back in the day and got mixed up. I liked the colour on it but got lots of hostile looks.

I've always been quite unfussed about the colour of my cars but yellow does seem to inflame some people on the street. I had a yellow NSX which seemed to be a magnet for idiots. Both of these more than 20 years ago though. Even more confusingly my wife loves yellow, hates red, hates white, hates viper green, loves Miami Blue, I would take the right car in any of those except maybe white

Racing was in the 991 as a standard colour, so more likely to find that to be what’s in cars rather than speed. Expect this is an error on advertisers as much as anything.

Racing was lighter but brighter than speed. Had it on my 991.1GTS, carried it off really well, but a bit marmite for many.

If you want bright it ticks the box & does get a lot of attention. When I traded in the sale was done in days few, see the car about near me occasionally still. Does look good.

I’m not really a fan of racing yellow - it just seems a bit too bright and lemon like. Speed yellow is much nicer or signal.

I love bright coloured Porsches! I call them "Smarties" like the chocolate sweets.

But... I don't welcome the attention they get. Be it from the Police or "numbnuts".

For some reason, SY and Miami Blue seem to suit the "T", well, to a T.

Can look good on the right car.
Yellow and blue as a combo can work, maybe?

Look at the quality of that car ... look at the drivers seat and compare it to a similar mileage 996 / Boxster seat ...

The wheels to me look like the Cup 2's that could have been standard when new ... good lightweight wheels and prettier to my eye than the Cup 1's.

Pricey but ? I'd want an inspection of the underside but it looks stunning, but I do have history with yellow cars !

All I can say: DO IT!

Some of the most beautiful curves get completely lost in the boring blacks and greys.

I have a Racing Yellow 991 with aerokit (ducktail) and I have never had a single negative reaction. Only thumbs up.
