Won’t be a Sport Classic but it’s 50th Anniversary of the Turbo next year and Porsche were never going to miss out on that opportunity. 2 special cars coming.

Ah that makes sense. I know fabric wise they are still to do a heritage car with the Pascha cloth (they said it was planned to be used) so a Turbo 50th anniversary might be when we see it.

I am the only one who doesn't care for the specials S/T, Sports classic or heritage.

no, its standard production car, not special edition. there wont be any build limitations, they will try to sell as many as possible.

Seems Rennlist, who normally have an accurate finger on the pulse, are not convinced that the 2025 revisions improve the ‘911’.
Which, they suggest, could be beneficial for previous generations.

The Carrera in particular. I like the 992.1 more with the analogue rev counter. The new car has no improvements but it has the annoying nanny features which one needs to disable every time.

No idea tbh. I’ve only glanced at the details out of curiosity but it’s of little interest to me. There are 3 types of ISA. I’m with useful info like speeds limits be flashed up but I don’t like the idea of having to override some action the car is taking at the moment my visual senses and instincts and telling me, right now I need to do something else.

Have to agree, what decade was the last manual only Porsche turbo?

My partner picked up her new Cayenne last month and any time you go over the speed limit, there’s an annoying sound that kicks in. It’s a similar sound cars play when seatbelts aren’t done.

I’ve set one of the shortcut buttons to turn the sound off but this needs to be done every time the car is started.

From what I’ve read, all new cars will have this but I have a friend who just picked up a brand new McLaren 750S and his car doesn’t have it.

That’s the least of your worries at the moment, wait until the system goes live and your car is brought to the speed limit by itself from whatever speed you were over at the time, you can accelerate through it but that will bring it’s own challenges. The fact that you have the beeping now means the ISA black box is installed. Mclaren Ferrari Aston are leaving this late as possible, not the Germans or the French.

I read about this after buying the Cayenne.

Can't see why people will want to buy future sports/hyper cars when this comes into full effect.

It is grim. I have it on a new Land Rover and you have to remember to switch it off every time. I understand that the UK have opted out of the EU legislation that would bring the speed back to the limit, but how long before that becomes mandatory?

Honestly, it makes getting into my very analogue 991 feel very special.

It’s not what options you tick it’s what is mandatory in your car before you tick the boxes

I get that, mine has none. Every other car since 2020 lane keep, lane departure warning, speedsign recognition
