Reading this thread makes me despondent.
Ordered a 911 cab in nov 21. In theory a car for may 2023.
Heard nothing.
I don’t really know how Porsche allocate these things as a T seems to be super quick and the turbo above etc.
It maybe many things but first come first served it is not which makes me assume that Porsche Guildford are rather playing some game that I am not party to the rules of !
Not an overly impressed camper !
Jeremy, I feel your pain, but the allocation is not that simple.Ordered a 911 cab in nov 21. In theory a car for may 2023.

I have 992 C2S on order since Nov-2021. I was 4th when I placed the order and I am still 4th 64-weeks later. The excuse I was given is that Porsche is not making enough of C2S derivatives, as when the GTS was launched production shifted to GTS, then GT3, GT3RS, Sports Classic, 992 T and now the Dakar, I.e. mostly the high-margin vehicles. I am not entirely convinced, as I see the guys in US are getting C2S derivatives, but my dealer is not(!)
So I placed an order for just launched 992 T and I got an allocation within 12 weeks. A bit of luck, a bit of relationship, it is rather inconsistent, but worthwhile acquisition. Wishing you more luck.

Since then been offered 2 cancelled orders for cab and C2 but the spec of both was fixed and not for me

I had a similar experience- ordered C2s cab in Nov 21 told 4th in line - slight misunderstanding when I was told I was next in line last summer, but with no sign of the car and dealer saying it could be another 12 - 18 months cancelled order a few months ago

Can I ask what dealer?Since then been offered 2 cancelled orders for cab and C2 but the spec of both was fixed and not for me
I went to my local dealer and they are quoting me 18/24 months for a 911 c4s

I don't know any special handshake but I just seen someone wrote that they were offered cancelled orders so the wait for my perfect spec will probably be 18/24months but to get into a car I would be very flexible
I would much prefer a cancelled order, to a second hand vehicle. You can then wait patiently for perfect spec.I ordered my C2 in October 2021. Was told over Christmas mine will be Gen2, so I guess another 12 month wait. Would be happy to have a car sooner but prefer a cancelled order as second hand values still too strong.
Perhaps I’ll just have to enjoy my Boxster 718 GTS in the meantime😁

I placed my T order in December. I may or may not get an allocation as it is a short lived 992.1 model. It depends how many they build and how many come to the UK before the production moves over to 992.2. The only downside for placing a T order is that once they're gone, they're gone. I will then need to join the existing queue for any other 992.2 model.andywalton said:

I understand that some people place order for one derivative, with an option for another.E.g. one person ordered base 992 with an option of 992T if/when it launches, and even though I was the first person to place a deposit for the 992 T, I was bumped to #2.
I have learned how to insert editable table, so that everyone can edit and I take less disk space :-)

Hi Pivo
Quick update.
I’ve finally received an email re my turbo allocation, saying the car will be built in April, and should be available 8 weeks later. That’s 12 months longer than I was told (in Sept 21) when placing a £10k deposit and would be around 21 months in total.
In the meantime I’ve filled the gap with an M5C so will be an interesting comparison.
