Have put deposit down, & have since done a spec I would like.
Has come out at £108k. Whoops.
Want PCCB's but have a feeling they won't really be neccessary.

What's everyone elses specs coming out at?
lol might last you a week at the rate you sell the cars ;-p

out of interest why did you not like about the BMW M4 DTM ?

it ticks a lot of boxes for me, but you said you had issues with it, or was that just with the dealer.
£108k for one of those? That is mental. Forget the M4. I accept that. I'm thinking more of a nicely specced white manual M2, with the MSport colour stripes and a few choice options. What good value that car seems.

I think, T is a refreshing, neat and fat-free 911; bowtie

Comparing to some of their latest not too modest -formally- (imho!); silly

Still..nothing come close to this! cloud9

Proper box ticking there...the spec I'd order would come in at about £100k. PCCB's, LWB's and a few other bits and I found myself at £100k.

If it were fat free it would be interesting, but it's still fat.

Anyone surprised about the brakes? They look like just the base C2 black jobs. I'm sure that they're up to the task but reckon one needs PCCBs to complete the wheels/arches bit.

One quick question, ignoring price and BHP, what's the supposed difference between the T and GTS, aren't they both supposed to be more driver focused cars?

Engine power for a start! I think the idea is that a GTS is fully loaded, the T is more back to basics.

Personally I don't see why the gearbox shouldn't be the standard manual gearbox or at least optional.
Does the GTS have the wider body? I dunno.
The T needs to be kept under 90k, to keep it as a "lesser" GTS imo. Who knows, I'd like to think it'll drive as "more"-we'll see.
The problem with buying an S, at similar money ie a manual, I fear you'd take a bit of a bath financially. I for one couldn't afford or stomach that level of depreciation. The T I'd imagine should be better in that regard.

What are we thinking about the wheels then, the 'launch' CS multispokes in all the pics, or the big 5 spoke retro sport offerings in high gloss grey? My preference is the latter...

Managed to trim my spec to £104k but still a lot for a 'basic' 911.
Tough as have specced PCCB's, full buckets, lift, rear axle steering, aero kit, PDSL & the 911T interior pack.
Leaning toward racing yellow paint, think suits it brilliantly.

people love torque, these cars have max torque at 1700 revs, having shorter gears by 7 mph per gear is meaning less and a BUZZ word from the GT3 to make people feel like they are getting GT3 tech.

It was prime time to launch this T just as people get refused a GT3. throw in "lighter", "short ratio" buzz words and sell it like hot cakes.

most buyers will go PDK anyway which has even shorter box and helps keep the turbo on boost. manual + turbo don't go hand in hand for me. and as most will put PCM and rear seats back in and spec the car to £100k, one might as well buy the GTS in the 1st place !

how I would spec it bar maybe no the RWS, I think the aero kit adds the 911 R look, I speced this at £102k (see pic)

but I don't get the car so not for me anyway, but you have a great spec and the best look, but it's really a £77k base car !

the timing of the car is key and Porsche got it spot on.

we have had rumors of a car like this for over 12 months from insiders , it's been a long time coming, it's no surprise to see it launched when GT3's have all sold out.

It's marketing genius esp with the buzz words which people catch onto from the GT3 blurb !

Prefer the sport design front splitter to the stock one, but that little lip at the back sort of ruins the concept a tad. Agree.
May just option the front splitter and leave the back alone.

keep the kit, it looks better and stops it looking like a £77k car, it's not even an expensive option now, the rear lip is £840 !

P is making the absolute most out of the 991 before it makes way for the 992. Nothing more nothing less.

I'd be very surprised if that happened. My friend who works at an OPC has sold two and his colleague sold another one the day after it was announced!
