Yup. Hugely capable cars….less capable owners. Myself included.

I'll join you on that!

I was told yesterday that issues with carbon fibre will delay GT4RS, Spyder RS, GT3, Touring, ST and GT3RS models with a production gap May-Sept this year.
Anyone heard similar?

If validated, that sounds more like a strategy than a supply chain shortage ?

ST delay was communicated a while ago I believe. Maybe it’s been extended to other cars ! Looks like they’ll be making 992.1 and 992.2 at the same time as the latter is due to start production this summer.

Problems with paint (CFK parts) currently, quite a backlog now. Lack of capable suplliers.

It was; mine was due a February build slot with April delivery - no updates available...but I don't expect to see it anytime soon.

Well this is what my 992 looks like today. Had an oil leak, ( not from any damage) but it takes special tools to fix so the dealer had to get them from Porsche Germany. The showed leak up when they were reinstalling the glass due to the recall.....

So… ‘oil leaks’ seem to be a thing with these engines…

Some have found several of the sump bolts havent been torqued to spec.
Others have found crushed/broken gaskets.

Interesting info. This is my fourth RS and they have all been bulletproof till now; only real recall was to replace the centre lock hubs on the 997.2RS. This car has not even been tracked yet though this will happen in the next month or two. I will report back on what they have found.

There were two American guys at the Silverstone GP circuit track day yesterday with 992 RS's they'd collected from Stuttgart, done 4 days at the 'Ring with the Scuderia, then Spa, then Zandvort (or Zolder, can't remember) then Silverstone. hehe

Getting cars shipped to USA from Germany in a week or so. Kudos.

Love the PTS lime yellow - well done for an RS!

Ok that’s quite cool. How it should be done.

I have done a lot of this with a 997.1,997.2 and 991RS. Could not get Euro delivery for the 992, so it is shipping back for Canada in August for some events.

Only remember the German name for it. Likely Acid Green as you write

Looks more like Chartreuse Green in this pic, that blue should be a sackable offence though.
