I had a full rebuild by Hartech in late 2015 and while it is a lovely car that does what it was intended to it would have been nice to have spent all that money (plus a bit to be fair) and feel like I’d got some sort of upgrade out of it all. I think the 3.9 conversion was in development at the time but it was quite a while afterward that it came to market. I’d hope I won’t have a repeat opportunity to upgrade though it must be said!

As an aside I note I’m into my 20th year on PH! Good lord! I lurked for a couple of years before posting too. That’s nearly half my life biggrin

This seems like a bargain if it's as described.

1. It's an Auction
2. It's reserve has not been met

I think the buy it now button disappears from listings when they reach a price level or an amount of time has lapsed. It's possible someone then agreed to buy it for a price and the seller has adjusted the reserve to something ridiculous so there is no way for another eBay bidder to win the auction. I know there are rules around when you can and when you can not adjust your eBay listing and / or the reserve price. Sometimes these are based on the time remaining. But I've not sold anything on eBay for a long long time. I'm 21 now so it was maybe when I was 11.

Agreed, seems like a fair price given the work done.

Great looking car. Good 996s with ambers becoming difficult to find.

As an owner I'd of liked to have seen it achieve more.
