Comfort Access as standard?? That will be off your drive in no time!! Insurance quotes will be interesting. Absolute bellends!
Quote on the standard spec sheet
“ Comfort Access

Keyless entry and drive: unlocking and locking of the vehicle including luggage compartment lid. Includes automatic extension of the exterior door handles when the vehicle is approached from the side

Note: The Comfort Access uses state of the art technology. However, it cannot be completely ruled out that the key´s wireless encryption code is intercepted and used to open or steal the vehicle“

They know there is an issue with cars being stolen yet they don’t give the option to delete? Madness

Comfort Access obviously a popular option in some markets. I assume you can just turn off the feature as you can do with Land Rovers.

As per the 992.2 GTS with its electric turbo system, the concept has been around a while but was waiting for the battery tech to catch up in order to make it truly effective.

This from 2016 - specifically about superchargers, but you get the gist:

Also, how much extra power might a GTS software tune extract..?

What’s everyone’s thoughts on the new grille / vertical slats / aero?

I’m still on the fence but suppose I need to see it in person.

Noticed not many people talking about this - maybe it’s just me who’s on the fence.

Considering how much more technology is going on, wouldn’t a software tune void the warranty? Would be worth checking in my opinion.

I am surprised no chatter on the start engine button rather than a key.

The slats on the base model have a Design pack option which improves them in my opinion, but yep I am not a fan of the vertical GTS ones….though of course they do look better now than was on the spied prototypes.

Starter button, only one light switch, fully digital instrument cluster, only 1 light unit in the front, rears seats as (no cost) option, etc ...

These also seem to be perfect ways for Porsche to bring down production costs idea

What I like is the decluttering of the range. Carrera and GTS is all there is needed tbh. IMHO they could even ditch the Turbo badge.
Also no need to have every engine spec with every body option. You want a 4wd or Targa, get the GTS.

Simple Carrera; Hybrid GTS and N/A and manual GT3 are all the 911's one needs.

Yes, it is sad we don't have simple, basic 911 anymore, but this simply is not Porsches choice to make. Also it is not what customers buy.

Youforreal.

Shame they haven't changed that horrible chrome credit card in the centre console. I have almost lost interest in modern cars, Look at the electronics and what this will mean in 15 years.

Maybe it's my age and the fact that most will not intend to keep the car beyond warranty

Add a nice old colour option like Maritime Blue and you are at £202k and the nice bucket seats remove the option for rear seats, so you might just as well get a GT car...

What i'm struggling with is why so many think £70k of options is required on whats already a well spec'd car.

Oddly you are the second person to include every single roof rack option, including bike racks, roof box, all 3 roof bags.

A £5k set of fitted luggage? almost every single box ticked.

Why you select carbon bits then fill the car with every heavy option possible is just odd.

On my T I deliberately avoided all innodrive and autonomous tech - its so refreshing to have zero interference on the steering and no lane keep whatsoever.

If you get a GT car and decide you want it in a PTS colour, with carbon bits of trim, with custom fitted seat inserts then it will just cost a ton more also.

personally you can get a really nice spec GTS for £137k + OTR

That actually looks decent value. I am easily getting a base Carrera to £115k+ on the configurator just with stuff you need for resale.
