Ive just called a local garage for a quote on tracking and mounting 2 tyres. I was given the cost of tracking, but was told "a couple of drinks" for the tyres.

So do i turn up with a few cans out the fridge, or slip the chap a tenner?

They probably have rules about staff having alcohol on site. I'd be more inclined to give a tenner to the guy that did the work.

A tenner is easily spent on shopping or bus fares etc

A decent bottle of red wine is far harder to spend and far easier to enjoy

Not everyone drinks red wine though, or beer etc. Cash is king...

A Local 'National' tyre outlet always fit and balance tyres for me. £20 pays for the bacon sandwich's on a Saturday morning for all the lads. Cash is King!
