Lovely, or madness???
Discussion
Ok, so the colour isn't ideal, but it looks more blue in the metal, honest.
It does have a full history though, is in great condition, and petrol costs over here are immaterial.
Is it madness, or a slice of the (relatively) exotic for just over 3k???
Opinions if you please.....

Given the OP's track record, buying it will almost certainly lead to him forming his own high-class escort agency and being chased around town by gun-wielding pimps.
'Porsche Power. Accept no substitute'
edited for serious footnote: If you can get a working 928 GTS for £3k, then do it. Do it now. They are £15-20k cars over here.

Yeah, the 6 cylinders was a worry, but having looked carefully at it, there were definitely 8!
It's been for sale for a long time, but the Market for cars like this is nothing like it is at home, so not too worried.
It drove bloody well, pulled up straight, and smelt new inside. Even the air con blows nice and cold- hugely important given the 50 degree summer temperature.
I'm tempted, but can't help but think that a merc sl500 from the same era may be a better bet- with the benefit of top down motoring through the winter, and a hard top for summer?
Anyone argue the case for me?

Provided it is just the advertiser being unable to count where the cylinders are concerned, I don't think anyone is going to tell you not to get it.It's been for sale for a long time, but the Market for cars like this is nothing like it is at home, so not too worried.

The Merc might get you top down fun, but that porker is something special. I'd do it.
