Hi all,

I want a V8 convertible for £3,000...

...Does such a thing exist???

Failing that, an estate/convertible...I think this one may be asking too much though! whistle

How about V12?

You should know about these since you died in one wink

a leggy old merc maybe E class or a sl350/500 or something old and from the uk like a Triumph Stag? Not going to be in great condition at the price.

Not quite a convertible or an estate, but... 3.5L LPG V8 for £2.5k:

Some careful eBaying might find you the bodywork to convert it to a wagon/convertible anyway.

"Going to be worth a fortune" rofl

"Going to cost a fortune" more likely (although I do have a soft spot for the XJS).

I was thinking about adding a bit of rear bodywork too.

I do love TVRs so will look in to the wedges, something to ponder on...

Really properly like the XJS soft top its just at that price I imagine money 'pit' wont quite cover it, more money 'supermassive blackhole void space gravity turbo hole thing' or something...

That SL does ooze cool though lol, but do I have the balls to take a punt on '70s classic? cant say im confident!

Thanks for the suggestions so far though guys, I actually expected to see a series of replies marked 'NO'!

Anyone know if its possible to cram a V8 into the front of an E36?!?

You're worried about an old jag and 70's Merc being too troublesome and expensive.......and you're considering a £3k TVR??????

TVR may be troublesome, but won't be expensive in comparison the the Jaaag and Merc.
