I want to sell the MX5 but struggling to get an indication of what to advertise it for.
It’s a r reg MX5 Berkeley in green, 93k in ok condition, few marks and the driver side wing needs some attention.

Any idea?

OK, I reckon £2 a week for 3 weeks should cover it?

Yeah.

MK1s have actually gone up in price since I last looked.. £1500-£2k probably looks more realistic now. You've got the right time of year to sell, or a few months time when people start to want a soft top for summer.

When I was looking last year MK2s were about £2k> and MK1s £1k-£2k.

Thats done 20k less then mine and in better condition so 1700 is probably a fair price to advertise it for

A dealer near me was selling one last year and asking just under £4K, which I thought too much, but he doesn't have it now so it sold, probably for a bit less though.

4k? Blimey
I want a quick sale so will advertise it at a fair price, could be a nice little project for someone who can do some bodywork.

I've just sold a '95 Mk1 - no electrics, no leather etc. 110k for £1850.
Admittedly it did have no rust except two VERY minor holes in one inner sill - otherwise immaculate. Yours is 3 years newer, less mileage etc...

The depths of winter is really the time to be buying these cars. The garage where I got my MX5 has reduced all of the Porsches, MX5s, BMW Z3's and MG TF's over the winter as most people aren't thinking of buying lightweight sports cars at these times!
