Might sound daft but just spent a few hours washing the car, went to the shops and had about 5 minutes of rain.

Now it's stopped can I go dry it again?

I seem to remember someone on here scratching the st out of a TVR because they dried rain from the car, last month I think it was.

DEFINATELY NOT.
if you have a pristine motor the last thing you want is to rub allthe pollutants and gunk that is in the atmosphere into your paint (aviation fuel I live over a flight path) grit , dust ,birdie poo and other sh*t its bad enough having to breath this crap but to decimate your paint? NO wash it and dry again if you must any how if your motor is really waxed "proper" the water droplets look cool (look at my really cared for waxed motor) sad i know .
