I was out on Weds at 7.50pm. Not a particularly well lit 30 mile an hour zone and there in the distance glowing in my headlights is a scamera van..Surely they cant be getting that desperate ? Oh and do the cameras work in darkness ?

Nope. It was in South Wigston just outside Leicester.

On my way to work and back, I have seen the scammers sit around there preferred two spots right up to five or five thirty by which time it was quite dark (before it started getting lighter). I did wonder whether they were as effective in those lighting conditions, or whether they were just clocking is some hours to get a little extra pay before they collect their redundancies.

I know people who have been clocked by that van if it's the one hiding behind the trees, not very sporting hehe

Gits have been out in Broadstone in the evenings too, random side roads seem to be the target.

I've been done by one at 11pm. As far as I am concerned, the demon never sleeps.

Really? If it was a Safety Camera Van (civil not police) I suggest you check the regulations on operating it in your area. There are rules believe it or not.
I had a run in with West Yorkshire ones, they said very clearly they do not operate at night, the law at the time stated that as a "safety" camera they had to be visible from at least 80yds on the stretch of road they were on, and were only allowed to use specified sites, ones that conformed to all the regs. They couldn't just park up anywhere. I am very suprised by this. My issues were a few years ago so maybe things have changed???

Anyway here is a link to make your blood boil, can't decide which is my favourite, oh hang on they are all wkers!! smile
