What about comparing a CL500 with a Maserati Gran Turismo
Discussion
No experience with Maserati.
But we do have an '04 CL600 Bi-turbo (has essentialy every option available at the time on it) and the build quality is fantastic , uber smooth , super quiet, drives well for a heavy car and go like a bloody rocket with 550+ bhp and 500+ftlb of torque. + you can watch TV when stuck in traffic
With a CL certainly take out a warranty as they're fortunes to repair if something goes wrong. Hope that helps in some way.
Try and go for a newer than '53 reg model as they have the smarter commande system etc

Those CLs are insanely cheap.

Very nice.
No experience of either I'm afraid, other than having read about them.
I suspect you're right, they're utterly different. I would have a drive of both, you'll probably fall in love with one over the other and that'll make the decision for you.
Would be Merc for me though, love 'em.

ETA: For OP: I quite like the newer shape CL for the size of it; a nice luxury coupe, essentially a two-door S Class.

why o why does it need to be black ?
Ours is silver with genuine CL65 Wheels, looks fantastic plus no one suspects you of being a drug dealer
Anyone have a rough idea of how much to maintain a cl500 per year without ? Ours is silver with genuine CL65 Wheels, looks fantastic plus no one suspects you of being a drug dealer
In terms of fuel we get 20mpg if you're extremely lucky

It's too big to be silver! (But I concede the drug dealer point).Ours is silver with genuine CL65 Wheels, looks fantastic plus no one suspects you of being a drug dealer
Are there fake CL65 wheels then?
Silver's not bad at all this is Stepfathers CL600 (lakelord)
p.s will get some side profile pics tomurrow.

I'd go for the Masser personally, just so much class. Mind you, I wouldn't say no to either, I'd imagine both are fantastic pieces of kit.
