Looking for abit of help please.
The battery on the OH Key fob died last year so being the manly man I am I changed the battery however once changed the remote locking wouldn't work, so instead of trying to solve the problem I just swapped it with my one (she uses the car more than I at the moment so only thought it fair smile ).
However the battery died on the spare also recently, again I changed it and again the remote locking doesn't work now.

Any ideas on what needs to be done to get it working again?, two colleagues of mine have the same cars and they seem to think the key needs to be "re-coded" not sure if that's right if so anybody have an idea of the cost?.

Thanks in advance for any useful help.

I think you put them in ignition, turn key until dash lights come on and then press lock unlock buttons.

This. Just push the lock button though.
I've got a Mk4 and mine likes to reset itself from time to time.

The electrics inside the keys like to be a pain too.
I've had to open mine up & stick a wee bit of folded card up against the battery, just so it'll work :P
