They aren't exactly stable in high speed bends (ie more than 25mph) are they? At least the one I turned over wasn't, could just be piss poor technique mind you but it was like trying to turn a cow.

Quads - Perfect because of their ability to slip through traffic like a car, yet keep you safe and dry like a motorbike...

Not the same, but when I was a kid, I had a suzuki 50cc quad.

They do NOT like going around corners. Now it's easy to balance a tiny quad on 2 wheels in a big car park, but a big quad on the road mid bend with oncoming traffic... I wouldn't want to try!

All of the disadvantages of a motorbike, and none of the advantages.... they can't steer, not to mention that since you don't need a motorbike licence to drive one the chances are that you will be riding without getting the proper safety training that a biker would..

Also, you can't filter like you can on a bike... Why not just buy a scooter, or if you want to look really cool then buy a 600cc sports bike and take it easy!

That. hehe

Get a motorbike or a car that won't flip over when you go around a corner.

If I see a gent on a quad, they (more often than not) seem to be steered by a certain type of fellow.

Not for me, certainly not for 30 miles. Popping around the village if you are a farmer, or along the beach on some sunny isle perhaps.

This mainly.

As well as the aforementioned downsides, when you reach your destination you'll still need a parking space.

Saw one a couple of nights ago - no helmet, overtook a car with a van coming the other way and only just made it. The van driver's gesticulation was quite something

Also, a quad attracts more criminals than a garage full of weed.
