Availability of high octane fuel in Spain

Hi,

Does anyone know how easy it is to get hold of high octane fuel in Spain and what sort of prices I could expect? I'm not after anything massively exotic, just 98+ RON (Optimax or something).

98 is readily available at most garages in Spain. I cant give you current prices, but would guess around €1.45/litre. It is certainly cheaper in Spain than surrounding countries, France, Portugal etc

Cheaper is good! At UK rates I've calculated my little jolly would cost about £750 in fuel before I even think about taking to the track at (I'd gues...) single-figure MPG.

Hi Chris,

Absolutely no problem getting Super in Spain.

Usually fuel in Spain is about the same "numerical" price as in the UK.

So, expect it to be around the 1.25 - 1.35 a litre.

Those prices are in Euro's, so it'll run out to somewhere around £1.05 to £1.15 per litre

You going at the end of March by any chance ....... ?

You'd need quite a wide river to get there ... I'm going by boat to Bilbao.

Good tip for any overland trips though.
