I need to check the service history of a BMW but have no idea which dealer has been servicing it so don’t know who to call.
Can anyone tell me which dealer has been looking after it from just the registration no? I can then call them and find out what has been done.

I know Audi have a central number you can call and they give you this info, no idea If BMW have something similar?

That would be great, if not a nudge in the direction of the right dealership would be adequate

BMW have a central number you can ring, think they just tell you what dealerships it's been to and when. Costs £1 a minute though.

I believe you can call BMW UK with the reg or VIN and they can quote the dealerships it has visited. You can then call each dealership in turn to find out the exact work done.

No idea what info you get, never had the need to phone it. Remember seeing it mentioned on here in the past and the £1 a min stuck in my head as being a rip off.

Well the BMW number is a total and utter waste of time, first of all they take ages as the system is a bit slow, finally all they will tell me is that the car has been serviced quite a few times at a few different dealers. Dates of services and names of dealers, but no mileage details.

What's wrong with that?

As somebody else has explained, you have to phone the individual dealers now to get the further info.

For £1 a minute i expected them to tell me the entire history of the car and also put on a sexy voice, she never once asked me what i was wearing

If you're getting involved with BMW and their dealers, then you'd better get used to paying A LOT of money for half the service you expected wink
