Good Driving Roads, plus nice hotel. An hour or so from Brum

Can't help on hotel but.
The cat and fiddle run in Derbyshire is not too far from Birmingham. There is plenty of lovely hotels in the Peak district. Also not too far from here to snakes pass either.
Someone will be able to recommend a hotel but I live in Derby so don't need a hotel to enjoy it

I thoroughly recommend this hotel Dormy House
Had my 40th birthday party there and regularly go there to eat. Great driving roads in the area and Fish Hill is on the doorstep.

I would second the Dormy House or Ludlow (Dinham Hall was wonderful last time I stayed there but it's been a few years).
Driving roads, though? For one night away? Your other half is going to kill you
I'll have a look at it - thanks! Driving roads, though? For one night away? Your other half is going to kill you
Nah she's be fine, she's understanding when it comes to me and motors. A bit of time of the road and a bit of time with the OH - everybody's happy!
Probably looking at about £150 so I guess me saying plush was a bit off target with some places that have been mentioned, but I did say plush(ish!)
Edited to add....
Type of hotel? Anything goes really as long as its clean, relatively spacious and with a pub or two in walking distance. Mirror's in the room are a bonus
