advice for our 20 year old insurance.

Hi just got our renewal for our 20 year old insurance, he runs a toyota celica 140hp, have been quoted £1718 for 10 months, any ideas for a better quote or is this about the going rate.

Not really - things like confused and tesco compared are the way to go. I'm 21 and have never got my insurance much below 2 grand. So 1700 quid on a celica sounds about right.

Considering the car, yes it is. It's a Japanese coupe with 140bhp - at 20 years old that makes you a high risk.

The only way to get it cheaper is to get rid of it and buy something less powerful.

1700 for 10 months is terrible, tell him to add his parents as named drivers and try again

I'd also stay awaay from the 10 month policys, I've heard they don't count with some companies
