Winter - when does it finish?

... because I'm sick to the teeth and back again of these fatuous threads about "should I take my winter tyres off at 10.00 a.m. on 1st march or wait until after lunch on the 2nd"!!!!!!!
This is the UK! Unless you live up a mountain in the middle of nowhere just buy some decent tyres and drive around. Winter is just as likely to arrive in June as in February.

Is this another winter tyre thread? 
Spring ends on 21st March. Whether wintry weather will have ended by then is another question. If you're asking, I will probably go back to summer tyres in mid-late March depending on the weather and forecast.
Oh, and my summer wheels are all cosy under covers and 2 coats of wax in the garage to avoid all the salt and crap on the roads
