The gym I attend is borough council owned and within the complex is a large indoor bowls facility (I know it's not just old people that play bowls but it seems to be), it also hosts other events for the elderly, bridge, exercise classes, god-dodging and so on. As a result, disabled parking spots are regularly full.

Now. I have noticed the same car in a disabled spot right by the front door on many occasions. On one occasion it arrived when I did and parked in a disabled bay as usual. Out jumped a very toned, svelte looking nob-jockey gym member. No badge is ever displayed and having seen him in the gym he could only be disabled in the head. I've raised this once to the reception staff but don't really want to be the nuisance gym member who is always going on about it.

So, how else could I approach it? I'm sure I'll get some inspired ideas on here and, before any says anything I'm such a wuss I won't approach him directly (he looks double hard).

I know I should probably let it not bother me but it's wrong and I don't see why he thinks he should be exempt from rules.

There is no workout on earth like confronting a person you consider to be physically superior. try it, you might be surprised.

Apparently a home printed official looking sign with very strong glue stick on the windscreen can be effective!

Make sure to obscure the phone no. so the "company" can't be contacted...

If you consider he'd wipe the floor with you one on one, curse your paltry genetics and lack of interest in martial arts and leave the fella alone.

Get in touch with the councils parking enforcement department, am sure they will welcome the raising of revenue with a well placed revenue ticket.

Put dog-poo in a paper bag, put it next to his car door and set the bag on fire. Then go inside and tell reception the reg of the car with the fire next to it, they will do a PA announcement and you can stand back and watch him run out and stamp it out!

A google search should bring up quite a few ideas for stickers to shame people parking illegally in a disabled bay.

It's one of my pet hates too, but I don't have the balls to square up to them usually, unless I'm driving my father around, who IS disabled.

Get someone suitable with a genuine disabled sticker to box him in.

When he comes out and finds he's blocked in, he'll get the venue paged, at which point said disabled ex-soldier/rugby player/motorcyclist (or similar) in wheel chair appears and says "sorry mate, somebody parked in the reserved space for us less able............."

Now, you would hope he will not hit a disabled person and be shamed into not repeating. If he does, do it again.

Repeat until cured.

Really? Do people really think that because someone is bigger than them that they'll punch you if you say anything to them? Sometimes on PH there is a bit of "fight club" attitude. Or is everyone on here a regular streetfighter?

Most are, but they don't talk about it. It's the primary rule.
