Wondered what the difference between the variants are, from the 150bhp in the early Golf GTI's through to the 225bhp in the Audi TT.

Is it just the side of turbo, level of boost, intercoolers and mapping that are the difference ?

I believe the 225 TT has different engine internals (stronger pistons perhaps?) than the lower power variants. Could possibly be wrong though I am no expert.

Other than that it's the normal stuff injectors, size/placement of intercooler, type of turbo, fuel pump etc.

Thats a cracking table on there.

Just been lusting after some A4 Avent Sports seen about recently and wondered what it would take to get them to 225...

It's been a while, but as I remember for a simple remap, non VVT stuff goes easily to around 190bhp, VVT will take 210ish, K03S 220ish, K04 260ish.

I believe the BAM engine code is the one to have mated to the big valve head which i think is the AGU engine code. Im pretty sure its the BAM engines which are in the 240bhp QS so thats the one i would go for
