After reading another thread I got thinking about these

I don't think I have ever seen one of these on a normal number plate.

A friend bought one a couple of years ago and he bought a plate just for the van!

Any others?

The audi R8

And sorry for anyone that does have one, but these plates ALWAYS look completely pathetic, no matter what's on it

MX-5s often seem to have dateless MAZ xxxx plates, & obviously X5s/M3s/M5s tend to have plates starting with the model number!

I have a private plate on my Ford Racing Puma W179(build number) FRP, a fair few others are on plates with FRP. Also see a fair few Focus RS's with RS or FRS in them.

yes - seemingly about 99% of them.

I guess the trick would be to guess a marque's forthcoming model designation and buy the plates up for resale.

There's a white R8 near me with 'I8FY' or something along those lines which I think is pretty cool.

Was going to say Minis...often with xxx or something on the plate. Mine has a private plate but it came with it and will be sold with it.

As a marque, I see more Saabs with chav plates than any other, followed by Audi and BMW, although specific models such as BMW M and X variants attract chav plate usage more than other models.

3x3 dateless plates look so much better than the current format.
Unless the new ones actually make a decent word I really don't understand anyone paying for one.
