Sorry, another what tyre thread!

I need 4 new tyres for a vw golf 2.0tdi gt currently running Michelin primacy hp 225 45 r17. Can't remember the speed/load rating at the mo.
To replace like for like costs about £120 per corner. Can anyone recommend an alternative (not budget) Or am I best getting the primacy's again?

Thanks in advance, 24lemons!!

If it's any help, I just invested £500+ in a new set of Primacys. Good tyre. They last well too so the higher intitial cost doesn't hurt too much over time.

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric should be available sub £100 if you shop about online. (Camskill £86)

Black Circles has Bridgestone RE050A at £102.67

My Tyre has BF Goodrich G-Force Profiler at £94.60 - bloody good tyre, used these myself previously.

Closest to budget I'd want to use would be Avon ZZ3 (My Tyres £74)or something from the Hankook range.

Eagle F1's are ace, although I'm very pleased with the Continental contisport sp3's we've just put on the mini. They're pretty soft but very very grippy so far. Ringlets were 130 a corner so I'd expect normal ones to be under 100 a corner

I suppose 100 quid a corner isnt too bad. I just wonder if I'll really notice the difference if I spend another 20 quid more per corner or less for that matter.
