V8 vantage or audi R8?
Discussion
Thinking about my next car and the 2 that spring to mind are the R8 v8 and V8 vantage 4.3.
50k is max budget so both cars with be first gen models but a manual with pedal clutch is out of the question-has to be semi auto.
The aston is smaller (less wide) so that's a plus as a daily drive mainly around town, parking etc but not that fast as the r8. The aston sounds way better and to me that means a lot
Early astons seem to have more issues so its a tough choice.
Your thoughts or anything else I should consider?

I'd suggest the Aston for the Magic and sense of occasion on every journey, great sound and drop dead gorgeous.
R8 for pure perfection in a car but none of the magic that the Aston has, the Semi-auto box will be better in the R8 although i've never seen or driven or Passengered in a semi-auto V8 Vantage (manual only) I cannot advise, but having Passenegered in a Gallardo spyder E-gear (semi-auto) it was a pretty good all round box good and not jerky at low speeds and plenty of ferociety to entertain when you get the hammer down, I'm presuming the Audi box will be similar in the R8 as obviously Audi own Lamborghini.
I'd Say drive both and decide as they're different in many ways i.e Drivetrain layout , build quality etc
>Hope that helps chap

Much as I like an Aston, I'd go with the R8 - seem to be rarer and I think they look and sound incredible.
Astons seem to be a bit of a generic choice for people with cash (guess they got bored of their Conti GTs) and I see them everywhere.
Do the R8 V8's sounds incredible though? The V10's sounds awesome but the V8??Astons seem to be a bit of a generic choice for people with cash (guess they got bored of their Conti GTs) and I see them everywhere.
