My local BMW dealer has emptied their pre-owned stock. It used to be packed, but now has only the row facing the road with any cars, and they are spread quite far apart.

Is this a bad sign? (Trucking the whole lot to auction to get cash flow?)

Normally the precursor to the dealership going bust,or has already gone and the administrators are picking over the bones.

Not forgetting that preowned cars are an attractive choice these days, especially with reports looming that Britain's economy might be heading for a double dip on top of the trampling the current Government have already given it.

It has been sold from Stratstone , and has been brought by Synter.
If you are talking about Maidenhead.

Maybe they'll use it for storing their stock for the new reg?

I know we had a few spaces on our forecourt recently but we've had quite alot of cars delivered recently so is getting busy now.

A lot of places are struggling to find good used stock, we usually have around 50-55 cars in stock and are currently around 43.

Just drove past "Barons Specialist Cars" in Farnborough, got a 300C and a Porsche Caymen in the showroom and about 5 cars on the forecourt.

''You mean bought, don't you?''

We all know what he meant. Everyone. No exceptions.
Why bother making a pointless reply with sarcasm pointing it out?
Was it that funny that we need another reply with the old classic hehe face?

Give me strength, I need a break from the pedants in this place.

For many years there's been a saying. PistonHeads - Spelling and grammar matters. it seems to have stuck.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, it's just keeping standards up smile

They are going to the wall or getting close.

If the site has been sold, Pendragon will get their stock out sharpish, unless the deal for the sale included the stock. Pendragon don't tend to use manufacturer stocking for their used cars. They get better rates though other lenders because of all the used cars in the group. Samething happened when Stratstone Tring sold out to Specialist Cars. In fact they were in such a hurry to get the stock off site, they left 20 or so cars at the Vauxhall dealer I worked for for a couple of weeks.
