Woo, and we can look fordward to the iPad version duplicating the content and costing another £2.99.

I think it might be time to cancel my subscription...

Will I have to buy the iPad mag separately (i.e. over and above my normal mag)?

That's a bit cruel - obviously won't be doing that!

Welcome to the club.
Cancelled mine back in the summer and said I'd buy them off the newstand when the contents look interesting. Only bought a couple so far....

Yes - as per Apple's terms and conditions (not Evo's).

Evo could do it the other way round... pay for online and get the mag free! hehe

The app is nice enough, but for the money I'm more tempted to buy it from Zinio. Its only about 20MB (rather than 500MB) and I really don't need to hear a car having the nuts revved of it from cold.

As part of a big clearout to reclaim some roof area space in the garage I took about 3 years worth of early EVO magazines to the dump. I made a point of scanning a few articles in the weeks before and the difference is night and day to what they produce now. I had also forgotten just how good Russell Bulgin was (RIP). Non subscriber for 2 years now and only buy the odd one if I am bored in an airport.

Ah I see! I thought the iPad app was good - looked great, but still prefer my paper copy hehe

Evo as a magzine I still really enjoy - it's what I'm looking for; fast things driven in a variety of locations with the odd curve ball and occasional sensible car.

Couldn't they do what they do with the Economist iphone/ipad app, that is, the app itself is free, but to access the issues within it you have to enter your subscriber number and a unique password?

Not sure how they get round it actually. It's in the developer's T&Cs.

Big Mistake!

I sold mine on eBay.

I got £35 for issue No.1

Got over £120 for issues 2 to 9 as a job lot.

After that the selling slowed down but I recouped over £200 after shipping by the time I gave up at about issue 20.

My Misses is an eBay freak so she carried on with the selling of the evo's after I gave up.

I don't know how much she made in total as I never saw a penny of it but she was getting about £1.50 an issue +p&p and has managed to sell all up to issue 80 something and the odd one after that.

The remainder are still in a box in the loft.

I stopped buying Evo a long time ago and have stopped watching Top Gear. Life is good not worrying about other people's irrelevant opinions.

Apart from Pistonheads obviously. Still working on that. wink

Stopped watching that. Asswipe to Candleford seemed less scripted in comparison.
