As per the title:

A friend is looking to buy his Wife a new car, hence the 4 wheel drive on the Porsche wink!

Either new S5 or equal value used Porsche.......

Considerations

- About 1/2 mile farm track down to the house, slow speeds but not the smoothest
- Short journeys but the odd trip to south france every year
- Feel every bit special as it should
- Running and maintenance costs - Is the porsche going to be considerably more?
- Reliability
- Ability to put the dog on the back seats, so the 2+2(1 dog) option is a must, and i am sure if you fold the dog up it WILL fit in the luggage compartment but i am not going to pitch this suggestion!!

And are there any other cars that are missing here?

Cheers for any advice given from owners or people in the know, much appreciated!

Tell your mate to save a load of his cash and get his wife a 996 C4S Cabriolet.

I've had mine 2 years now , awesome car and just love the looks.

It's cost me no more to run than the M3 i had before. I've done about 9,000 miles in just under 2 years.

In fact tell him to buy mine - I'm looking at getting into a V8 Vantage smile

Mine has the Porsche Sports Exhaust so your mate can enjoy the noise when he drives it !

Cheers,
Nick

This was what i was thinking and looking through the classifieds there are some unbelievable options around the 30K mark, if you want to PM me any details on the car you have i will be more than happy to pass them on.

What are the servicing costs like on the Porsche on average?
