Hi all, got a problem with the car above. After opening the car with the key fob and starting the engine, the intrior lights front and back will not go off and stay on while driving. After switching the ignition off and locking the car the intrior light go off. I rang my local VW dealers and they have not heard of this problem, Any ideas guys.

Kind Regards, Clonkey

A Golf owners forum might be more fruitful for specific problems.

Maybe faulty door open/close sensor messing up the interior light sequence?

It happened to me on a MK4.

If you leave the head lights on and open the door does the "buzzer" sound?

i think the drivers door lock controls the interior lights to go on / off (unlike the older ones that had a switch in the door check).
