You know the situtation, every so often, you're wandering down the street or flicking through the ad-mag and you see a car, advertised at a price that you know is a little low, probabaly because it looks like a st heap, that someones just trying to get rid of.

With a good polish, some new wheel trims, and a good vacuum you could probabaly make 2 or 3 hundred quid on the car.

I know some people claim to do it on here, but my question is - what do you do with the v5?

Obviously you don't want to fill it in as a new owner and send it off to the DVLA etc as thats going to take a few weeks at least, and you want to turn this car round in a few days.

You're not in the trade so can't fill it in as a trader, and trying to convince the origional seller that they don't need to send the V5 off and you'l sort it all out is going to be tricky.

So what do people do?

I used to do this in Uni, and would either say i`ll sort it out, or if they say no i`d fill in the trade section and take the rest of it.

Pain buying at auction though as you have to fill it in and wait or be a registered trader
